bold font: I feel the verse would read weird with “thanks to her” although
that’s probably the correct and best translation. It’d also fit Prévert’s penchant
for the everyday language. However, I’d like to humor myself
and translate ‹‹ et grâce à elle›› as “and to her thanks.”
